Registration Information
Early Bird Registration
Online and Early Bird Registration is strongly encouraged. The Annual Meeting Early Bird Registration deadline is January 27, 2012. The registration fee for the SOT Annual Meeting includes admission to all Scientific Sessions, Award Presentations, ToxExpo, a copy of the Program, The Toxicologist on CD-ROM (abstracts), and the ToxExpo Directory.
Registration Materials
Register before January 27, 2012, and your badge, Program, and The Toxicologist on CD-ROM will be sent to you prior to the Annual Meeting. Your 2012 Annual Meeting registration badge must be presented to obtain access to any SOT functions.
When you arrive at the Moscone Convention Center, please go to the registration area to pick up your ToxExpo Directory and registration badge. If you already have your registration badge and Continuing Education (CE) Course tickets, there is no need to stand in a registration line. Simply stop by the handout table in the registration area and present your badge to obtain the other registration materials (i.e., The Toxicologist on CD-ROM, the ToxExpo Directory, and other supplementary materials).
Online Registration
SOT Members and Non-Members are invited to register for the SOT 2012 Annual Meeting using SOTs Online Registration System. The system is designed for those who will be paying their registration fee by credit card and who have access to the Internet.
Please Note: The SOT Online Registration System functions best when using Internet Explorer (IE).

*Not an SOT member?—Apply for SOT membership and have a complete application by the January 1, 2012, application deadline, and you could enjoy discounted member registration rates. Those who are accepted are notified after late February when the Membership Committee has finalized their review.
You have the option to register for the Annual Meeting now at the non-member rate or wait until the week of the 20 of February to register at the Final Registration member rate and realize substantial savings if approved as an SOT member. Forms will be date-stamped as they arrive. This is your date of registration. Faxes will be accepted by SOT Headquarters at 703.438.3113, only if a credit card number is clearly listed in the appropriate area.
NOTE: To prevent double-billing, if you are registering by fax, DO NOT mail your original registration form. SOT needs only one copy for processing. All mailed and faxed registration forms will be processed online by SOT staff.
Registration Confirmation
You should receive a registration confirmation via email, whether you register directly online or if you have sent your registration form to SOT Headquarters via the mail or by fax. If you don’t receive your confirmation within two weeks, please contact SOT Headquarters or call 703.438.3115.

Registration Guidelines
Payment
Registration forms will be returned if not accompanied by one of the following methods of payment:
- Company or Personal Checks; US Currency only (Please list all registrants on check memo or check stub.)
- Government Purchase Order; Check must be drawn from the US Department of Treasury
- Money Order
- Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Diner’s Club, or American Express
Registration Deadlines
- Early Bird Registration until January 27, 2012
- Standard Registration until February 17, 2012
- Final Registration is after February 17, 2012
DO NOT mail your registration form to SOT if it will arrive after March 7, 2012. SOT will accept faxed and/or mailed Annual Meeting registrations until March 7. After March 7, registrations not processed online will only be accepted on-site at the Annual Meeting. The online registration system will be open throughout the meeting and if you register online after March 7, 2012, you can easily pick up your badge at the “Badge Pick Up Only” registration counter.
One-Day Registration
There is no reduced fee for one-day registration.
Tickets
Tickets for CE Courses and other events may be required. These tickets will be issued with your meeting badge. You must be registered for the meeting in order to participate in a CE Course or a Special Event.
Confirmation
You will be mailed a registration confirmation, name badge, and CE Course and/or event ticket(s) before the meeting if your registration form is received by January 27, 2012. If registration is required after January 27, you can pick up your badge and tickets at the registration counters on-site.
Cancellation Refund Policy
All requests for cancellations and/or refunds must be received in writing to SOT Headquarters by February 17, 2012. These refunds will be processed, less a $50 fee, following the Annual Meeting. Refund requests received after February 17, 2012, will not be processed.
Annual Meeting Registration Includes…
- Awards Ceremony, Sunday, March 11, 5:15 pm–6:30 pm
- Plenary Opening Lecture, Monday, March 12, 8:00 am–9:00 am
- All Scientific Sessions Monday, March 12, 9:15 am–12:00 noon and Tuesday, March 13 through Thursday, March 15, 9:00 am–11:45 am
- ToxExpo Exhibit Hall A–C, 9:00 am–4:30 pm Monday, March 12; 8:30 am–4:30 pm Tuesday, March 13 and Wednesday, March 14.
Participants are also encouraged to register for the Continuing Education Courses. These are available during three time intervals on Sunday, March 11: the Sunrise Mini-Course is from 7:00 am–7:45 am, morning courses are 8:15 am–12:00 noon, and afternoon courses are from 1:15 pm–5:00 pm.
CE Course Registration
For your convenience, you can register for Continuing Education (CE) Courses at the same time as registering for the Annual Meeting. If you have already registered for the Annual Meeting you will have to use the Mail or Fax Registration Form to register for Continuing Education Courses.

Guest Registration
New this Year: Guest (non-scientist) registration is available online. Guests may also register by mail or fax on the same form as the person they are accompanying. If the person they are accompanying is already registered, they must use the Guest Registration Form and mail or fax it to SOT Headquarters along with a copy of the confirmation of the person they are accompanying. Guests are welcome to attend the Welcoming Reception, but will not have access to the scientific sessions or the Exhibit Hall.
Reminder: Children under the age of 15 are not permitted in the Exhibit Hall.
The SOT Guest/Spouse Hospitality Room provides guest participants (non-scientists) with a place to meet and socialize with other guests. To visit the Hospitality Room, guests must register for the Annual Meeting with the person they are accompanying. Guests will not have access to the scientific session or the Exhibit Hall. Please remember to wear your badge to all SOT events. The Guest Hospitality Room will be located in the Marriott Marquis.
Guests must be registered for the Annual Meeting to access the Hospitality Room.
